The aim of this eight day course is to test the established breacher in all facets of explosive breaching while conducting  close quarter battle operations. Students will be exposed to numerous realistic scenarios that will require them to plan, prepare and execute a successful explosive or power tool (quickie saw and chain saw) breach with follow on CQB tactics in order to clear and dominate a stronghold. Simunition / UTM ammunition will be used extensively during the CQB scenarios. This course is dynamic and fast paced and will most definitely challenge the attendee. All Breaching and CQB Tactics taught are considered on par with international best practices.

Course content includes:

• Close quarter tactical shooting live fire – pistol and carbine
• CQB – combat and dynamic clearance drill – simunitions / UTM only
• Hallway clearance drills
• Explosive breaching charges:

  • Internal and external walls
  • Barricaded doors
  • Window breaching
  • Roof breaching
  • Internal door charges

• Tactical placement drills (one and two man, emergency assault drills foot and vehicle)
• Fast roping
• Night training
• Command and control issues
• Scenario based training

Equipment Requirements:

• M4 Carbine with white light and 200 rounds (updated 9/27)
• Pistol with 100 rounds (updated 9/27)
• M4 Simunition / UMT rounds x 200
• Pistol Simunition with 50 rounds
• Night Vision Goggles (recommended but not mandatory)
• All SWAT PPE to include gas mask or sims protective mask
