Duration: This four-day course is divided into two specific modules:
Module One: Night Vision – Mechanical, Ballistic, Power Tool and Hydraulic (two nights)
Module Two: Night Vision – Explosive Breaching (two nights)

Each module can be taken separately if you are not a former student of both courses.

Students: Minimum 8 – maximum 12
Pre-requisite: Students MUST be a graduate of a TEES Explosive Breaching or Mechanical, Thermal, Ballistic, Power Tool and Hydraulic Breaching Course. A copy of your previous course certificate, or the date of that course must be furnished with your application form.
Restrictions: Law Enforcement, Military or Government Agency’s only

The aim of this four-day course is to familiarize the students with the use of the ram, pry, shotgun, quickie saw, chainsaw, hydraulic tool and explosive breaching charges at night while using Night Vision Devices. On successful completion of this course, the student will have the knowledge and confidence to conduct a target analysis and tactical approach in order to deploy the above tools and charges against external and internal targets during low light or no light operations while wearing a NVD.

Mechanical, Ballistic, Power Tool and Hydraulic Module

Duration: Two nights (1200-2130)
Prerequisite: Must have completed a TEES MTBB three-day course
Objectives:

  • Rams & Pry review
  • Shotgun review
  • Power tool review
  • Hydraulic tool review
  • House runs day
  • House runs night
  • Negotiating obstacles

  • Range training uniform
  • Helmet
  • Night Vision Device (mounted to helmet)
  • Ear / eye protection
  • Gloves
  • AR15 / M4 mounted with IR pointer
  • Personal tool carriers (optional)
  • Breaching shotgun and retainer (optional)
  • OSHA requirement: 3M  OV P100 Household Multi-Purpose Reusable Respirator

Explosive Breaching Module

Duration: Two nights (1200-2130hrs)
Prerequisite: Must have completed the TEES Explosive Breaching Course
Objectives: 

  • Introduction to NVD’s
  • Explosive breaching review
  • Charge calculation review (spreadsheet)
  • Charge and firing system construction
  • Charge placement drills (two-man and one-man)
  • Negotiating obstacles
  • External and internal charges
  • Esoteric and P3D specialty charges

Equipment:

  • Range training uniform
  • Helmet
  • Night Vision Device (mounted to helmet)
  • Ear / eye protection
  • Gloves
  • AR15 / M4 mounted with IR pointer
  • Knife
