This course has been designed for law enforcement officers who hold the position of a sniper / observer, tasked to provide precision marksmanship for their department or agency.

The core objectives of this course are based solely on sniper marksmanship.  Students will be given every tool to excel and successfully graduate this course.

• Weapons & equipment
• Ballistics (internal, external, terminal, crosswind jump, BC, coriollis, etc.)
• Weapon maintenance
• Sniper marksmanship
• Rigging the gun
• Scope mounting
• Chronograph
• Trueing the gun
• Establishing a range card for your gun
• Position shooting (non standard)
• Unknown distance 200 – 800 meters / yards
• Sniper spotter dialog
• Range & wind estimation (wind formulas, reading marriage)
• Calling trace
• Stress events

Equipment requirements:

• Ear & eye pro
• Rear bag (highly recommended)
• Sling (2 point adjustable sling, highly recommended)
• Scoped rifle (Gridded reticle or mil dot scope is highly recommended)
• Log book
• Ballistic program (can be on smart phone – Applied Ballistics program is highly recommended)
• Kestrel weather station with Applied Ballistic (recommended)
• Calculator
• Cleaning equipment (Patches, one-piece rod, bore guide, M pro 7 cleaning solution or equivalent)
• Binoculars
• Spotting scope with extendable tripod (highly recommended)
